Birling

Birling is a hot WC4 class Wolf-Rayet star in the Dream Nebula, nearing the end of its life. It has just 15,000 years until it blows in a Gamma-Ray Burst. Birling is so bright that it continuously ionises the nebula, keeping it bright. A black hole will be the remnant of the death of this star, and the supernova that results from its death will cause even more star formation, prolonging the nebula's life.
